Mrs. Carrie Michelle Beard was born on February 15, 1969, in Indianapolis, a daughter of Dr. Daniel Cooper and the late Judith Cooper, of Zionsville.
Carrie graduated Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School in Indianapolis with the class of 1986. She continued her education at Indiana University graduating with a degree in English Education.
On July 13, 1991, she was married to Mike Beard in Lebanon. He survives.
She worked for Key Benefit Insurance Company in Indianapolis until the time of her diagnosis of Multiple Myeloma cancer in 2011. Prior to that, she worked for Hall, Render, Killian, Heath & Lyman law firm in Indianapolis.
Carrie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, photography and attending sporting events. Her love for football was exceptional as she followed her coach husband, player son, and cheerleader daughter up and down the sidelines. She was a devoted wife, mother, sibling, and friend to all.
She is survived by husband, Mike Beard, Lebanon, father, Dr. Daniel F. Cooper, Zionsville, children, Matthew Beard and Katie Beard, both of Lebanon, four brothers, Brad Cooper, Franklin, Jason Cooper and wife Holly, Zionsville, Barrett Cooper and wife Daiva, Colorado Springs, Carter Cooper and wife Erica, Longmont, Colo, sister Meredith Healy and husband P.K., Lewis Center, Ohio, aunt Carol Browning and husband Ron, Greenwood, and several nieces and nephews.
Carrie was preceded in death by her mother, Judith A. Cooper and a sister, Leah Cooper McMillan.
