BIO:

"Manoah Delling, pioneer ancestor of the DELLING family of the Bigelow neighborhood in the northern part of Wolcott Township near the shore of Lake Ontario, came from Bangor, Maine, about 1812. He was accompanied by his wife, "Sally" Glidden of a New Hampshire family, their two year old son, True, and a brother whose Christian name is now unknown. They settled first near Lyons, Wayne County, NY near Sally Glidden's father who came about the same time. It is thought that the Dellings were in some way related to the TRUE family as their eldest child was named True.

Manoah Delling, who was a Baptist minister, after a few years' residence in the vicinity of Lyons, NY came to Wolcott and settled on the farm near Lake Ontario, now owned by his great grand daughter, Mary G. Delling. The exact year of the migration is unknown, but it is known that the farm has been in the family more than one hundred years..."
