Paul P. Pawlack, 89, of Economy Boro, died Thursday, January 16, 2014, in UPMC Passavant Cranberry Hospital.

He was born September 27, 1924, in Ambridge, Pa., a son of the late Peter H. Pawlack Sr. and Eva Schimonchak Pawlack.

He was a retired department manager for Sears and Roebuck Company and a retired employee of the John Syka Funeral Home, Inc., Ambridge. He served his country in the United States Navy during World War II.

Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, were his wife, Victoria 'Vicki' Janicki Pawlack; two brothers, Walter and Peter Pawlack and three sisters, Mary Bosanac, Olga Alvania and Jennie Please.

Surviving are a daughter, Janis (Richard) Schrenk of Economy; a son, Greg (Barb) Pawlack of Wheeling, WV; two grandchildren, Jenna (Jared) Thomas of Freedom and David Pawlack of Ambridge; four great-grandchildren, Ruby Grace Thomas and Alexa, Baylee and Nathaniel Weaver; a sister, Mable Tyma of Ambridge (Mabel 1926-2016 her memorial is #158127956 ) and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received Sunday from 1 p.m. until time of Parastas services at 4:30 p.m. in the JOHN SYKA FUNERAL HOME INC., 833 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge. Translation of the body will follow to Holy Ghost Orthodox Church where a funeral service will he held Monday at 9:30 a.m. with the Very Rev. William J. Evansky officiating.

Interment will follow in Economy Cemetery at 10:45 a.m. where full military honors will be provided by the Beaver County Special Unit.
