Born Sept. 22, 1918, in Boydstown, he was the son of William Burns and Mary Amore Burns. He was a carpenter and of the Pentecostal faith.
Survivors include his wife, Lois Burns; a stepson, Clarence Gray of Osceola; four daughters, Paulene Ayotte and Betty Burkholder, both of Osceola, Mary Johnson of Gosnell and Lucille Stone of Dell; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Weavers Chapel Church with the Rev. John High officiating. Burial will be in Weavers Chapel Cemetery with arrangements by Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.
