A native of Pine Knot, he was born Jan 1, 1910, to the late Andrew J. and Nellie Stephens Kidd. He was a retired labor foreman and a member of the Pine Knot United Baptist Church. Survivors Include 11 children, Billy Kidd, Jimmy Kidd, Mrs Rose Cooper, Mrs. Edith Cox, Mrs. Betty McCullah, Nellie Kidd, all of Pine Knot, Rev Oren B. Kidd. Whitley City, Andy Kidd. Joy Kidd, Gertrude Kidd, all of Cincinnati, Coy Kidd, Chicago; four brothers, Floyd Kidd, Theodore^Kldd, both ofUhlo, Ralph Kidd, Arkansas, Jack Kidd, Murfreesboro, Tenn., six sisters, Mrs Lora Woods, Pine Knot, Mrs. Mary Gilreath, Oak Ridge, Tenn . Mrs Lena Brannlng, Meridian, Miss., Mrs. Ruth Walker, Winston, Ore., Irene Kidd, Falls Church, Va , and Mrs Reba Haynes, Silver Springs, Md.; 18 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren Funeral services were held at the Pine Knot United Baptist Church by the Revs. J W Blevins and Oren B. Kidd, Sr Burial was in the Pine Knot Cemetery Funeral arrangements were handled by the West and Son Funeral Home of Pine Knot
