Cornelia and James married on March 31, 1881. They were blessed with five children, two died in infancy. After the death of James, she continued to live in Webb City with the children, until she met Ira Grant Denny.
They married on October 7, 1907, in Lamar, Barton, Missouri, and moved to Mount Dora, New Mexico.
She is survived by her husband Ira, sons Ernest W. Farris of Riverside, California, and George V. Farris of Webb City, Missouri, and two step-daughters Leona Denny and Mrs. Maria Livingston both of Mount Dora, New Mexico.
