Frank Bamford Troop died Sunday evening, April 9th. He was born here Nov 11th, 1860, had he lived until his next birthday would have been 90 years of age.
He was a son of the late Stephen B Troop of Granville Ferry and Sarah (Robblee) Troop of Lower Granville. His wife, the former Adelia Parker, died Sept 30, 1946.
Mr Troop was spending the winter with his only daughter, Mrs Marion Grant at Annapolis Royal, where he died at the Annapolis General Hospital.
He leaves his daughter, Mrs Grant, who is a member of the teaching staff of Annapolis Royal Academy; 4 sons: Harold Troop of Winnipeg; Stephen and Frank of Granville Ferry and Robert K Troop of London, Ontario. There also 9 grandchildren. A brother Fred Troop and sister Lizzie (Troop) Miller predeceased him.
Mr Troop was a member of the Granville Ferry United Church. His funeral was Tuesday, Reverend Neil A MacLeod officiating, with interment in the family lot at Woodlawn Cemetery, Annapolis Royal.
