Lucinda Catherine, daughter of Solomon and Mary Ellen Keeth, was born March 2, 1861 and departed from this life Feb. 22, 1942, being at the time of her death 80 years, 11 months and 12 days of age.

She was united in marriage March 3, 1881 to Alfred Wesley Abbott. To them eight children were born, two of whom passed away in infancy, and one son, Jack passing on Jan. 11, 1928.
They lived with their little family on the old home farm near Brumley for 34 years. They were well and favorably known in Miller county. Mr. and Mrs. Abbott bought a home in Eldon and moved, there over two years ago.

Surviving Mrs. Abbott are: her husband Alfred Abbott, one son, George Abbott of Barnett, Mo.; four daughters, Mrs. Fannie Shipley of Richland, Mo., Mrs. Lucy Cobble of Waynesville, Mrs. Maude Allee of Eldon, and Mrs.
Alpha Wright of Eldon; 27 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchiIdren, and two great great-grandchildren; two brothers, Willie Keeth of Perew, Okla.,and Jack Keeth of Eldon; two sisters, Mrs. Fannie Carroll of Miami,Okla., and Mrs. Lucy Sloan of Lebanon. All these besides a host of other dear relatives and friends mourn her passing. All her children, one brother and two sisters were at her bedside when, she passed on to the Great Beyond.

She was converted and joined the Church of Christ in 1879. She remained a faithful worker in God's Kingdom until He called her home. She was active in her local church until her health would no longer permit, and was well known in her community for her kindness and helpfulness to others. She was good and loving wife and mother, who sought to teach her children how to work in the straight and narrow way. She knew God's way and let it shine through her life to bless those about her.

Mr. and Mrs. Abbott were married 61 years next March.

Mrs. Abbott will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
"Dear Mother you've been a great blessing To your family and home and friends. We know you are waiting in Heaven With open arms to welcome us in. You loved your Heavenly Father And showed us the way to prepare To meet in an unbroken circle When God calls us to join you up there."
