Florence had been living in B.C. for 7 years at the time of her death.

Mrs. A. E. Jones
Mrs. Arthur E. (Florence Elizabeth) Jones, age 85, died at her home in Vancouver last Wednesday. She was a resident of Gleichen for many years having left here in 1940 to live with her daughter at the coast.
Mrs. Jones was born in Birmingham, England and moved to Toronto when she was 12 years old. She received her education there and moved to Regina in 1888 with her husband who was stationed there with the Indian department. Four years later they moved on Hobbema, Alta. living there only a few months before being moved to Macleod. In 1897 they came to Gleichen where they built a house, raised a family and sent their children to school, while Mr. Jones acted as farm instructor on the Blackfoot Reserve at Cluny. Later they moved to Cluny and upon Mr. Jones' retirement returned to Gleichen until his death in 1940. While in Gleichen Mrs. Jones always took an active interest in the Women's Auxiliary of St. Andrew's Church. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. R. J. Bryon =-Johnson of Vernon, B.C., Mrs. H. H. Lockyear of Vancouver, Mrs. R. C. Moreash of East Chester, N.S.; two sons, Fred of Lethbridge and Arthur R. of Calgary. One son, Charles B. died in 1937 in Calgary.
