CENTRAL CITY — William “John” McCullough, 54, of Central City died Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014, at his home.

Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Central City, with the Rev. Kevin McReynolds officiating. Burial will be in the Aurora Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Wagner Funeral Home in Central City. The family requests casual attire.

Mr. McCullough was born on April 10, 1959, in Aurora to William and Eva (Pettit) McCullough.

Survivors of the immediate family include his wife, Marilyn McCullough of Central City; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Tony and Sara McCullough of Central City, Dusten Patterson of Hastings, and Barry and Lorrie Patterson of Hastings; two daughters and a son-in-law, Amber and Kris Price of Wood River and Lorrica Patterson of Central City; 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Lee Edward and Bonnie McCullough of Waddell, Ariz.; and a sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Joe Nealon of Red Oak, Iowa.

He grew up in Aurora and received his education there. He was united in marriage to Marilyn D. Underwood on May 10, 1985, in Grand Island. The couple lived in Grand Island and later moved to Central City, where John was employed by Southern Public Power District for over 28 years.

He was a member of River Rats Association and Eagles Club. He enjoyed jeeping, family time, playing with grandkids, camping, fishing, hot rodding, barbecuing, farming and hanging with his buddies.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Elva Ruth Miller.

From daughter Amber McCullough Price Dad's visitation is at Wagner funeral home 1702 31st central city ne 68826. From 5 to 7 PM or later on Wednesday.
His services will be Thursday at St Paul Lutheran Church at 11:30 am. 820 G Ave central city ne 68826.
Burial will be at the Aurora cemetery following his services. Lunch will be after burial back at the church. Casual attire. Any one who works for SPD if you would like to wear SPD shirts etc please feel free too
