Edna Polly Parker was born August 5, 1895, at Quimby, Iowa, to Melvin Jerome Parker
and Hattie Lozetta Westfall Parker. She graduated from Quimby High School in 1910.

On February 23, 1916, Edna married Floyd V. Finley in Cherokee, Iowa.
They lived in Quimby and Marshalltown.

In the 1950's and 1960's, Edna was the accompanist for 3 successive dancing schools:
Jo Ann's School of Dance, then Anne Marie's, then Leslie's.

Edna was a member of the Rebekah Lodge in Marshalltown. The Rebekahs are an international service-oriented organization and a branch of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. She was also a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Edna, a resident of 105 S. 1st St., Marshalltown,
passed away Sunday at Marshalltown Manor.

She is survived by 2 daughters:
Lozetta Valore Bolle, Marshalltown;
Pauline L. Albers, Tucson, Arizona;
a son, Rex Melvin Finley, Montour, Iowa;
15 grandchildren, 31 grandchildren, and
4 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd;
2 daughters, 4 brothers, 6 sisters, and a grandson.

The Harrison Funeral Home, Tama, Iowa, was in charge of
arrangements. Because of cremation, there was no Visitation.

Memorial services were at the First United Methodist Church,
Marshalltown, Wednesday, December 14, at 2 p.m.
