Bob G. Tucker, age 81, resident of Mansfield died Friday January 3, 2013 in MedCentral Mansfield Hospital following a brief illness.

Born February 25, 1932 in Hughes Creek, West Virginia to Charles and Millie (Redman) Tucker, he had been a Mansfield resident since 1950.

Bob was employed with the Ohio Steel Tube Co. in Shelby retiring in 1990 following 24 years of service. He also provided transportation for the Amish for many years. Bob was an avid hunter and had coached little league in the 1960's.

He is survived by his wife Marlene (Clark) Tucker whom he wed July 2, 1955; three sons, Robert H. Tucker, Charles E. Tucker, Ronald & Diane Tucker; one daughter Chrissa & Donald Pfirsch; eight grandchildren, Stephanie & Dirk Bistline, Crystal & Vinnie Phelps, Scott & Kristy Tucker, Richard Tucker, Sandie & Chris Killion, Stephen & Jessica Tucker, Nichole Tucker, Taylor Tucker; 10 great-grandchildren, Sarah Phelps, Trenton Tucker, Hunter Phelps, Lance Tucker, Bryce Killion, Makenzi Tucker, Caden Bistline, Easton Tucker, Rebecca Tucker, Carter Tucker; one brother Lester Tucker of Nitro, WV; one sister Frances Craze of Mt. Vernon, OH; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his brother J.R. Tucker; three sisters, Margaret Craze, Camilee Copeland and Effielee Hudnell.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at the Barkdull Funeral Home in Shelby with Pastor Ronald Puff Officiating. Burial will follow at a later date in the Ganges Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 10:00-11:00AM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church
