Steven James Packard, 58, of Salina, died Sunday, March 3, 2012. He was born Nov. 24, 1953, in Salina and was a lifetime resident. Steve, also affectionately called "Rat," was known as a great musician, radio guy and active member of the Salina Community Theatre.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Susie Gibson Packard; his children, Rachel, Michael and Kelsey; and two grandchildren, Bella and Zac; his parents, Jim and Bonnie Packard, of Salina; a brother, Randy (Lollie) Packard, of Hollyrood; mother-in-law, Doris Gibson; and numerous other family members and surrogate children.

A memorial celebration of Steve's life will be at 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, at Ryan Mortuary, Salina.

Memorials are suggested to Salina Community Theatre.
