Clarence Frederick Anderson was
born Feb. 21, 1908, the eldest child of
Theodore and Josephine Wilcox Anderson,
in Parker, S. D. He was baptized in
the Storm Lake United Methodist
Church and graduated from Storm Lake
High School with the class of 1927. He
lived most of his life on the family farm
near Storm Lake, with the exception of
three years, March 1942 to November
1945, when he served as radio technician,
Master Sargent in Italy and North
Africa during World War U. He was
awarded the Bronze Star for his military
efforts.
Clarence's expertise as an electrician
and refrigeration man kept him
occupied by several Storm Lake firms
at various times, including: S & H Electric,
Kallmer's, and Nelson Ice Cream
Company. He was well known for his
good humor and friendliness and was
quick to lend a helping hand to family,
friends and neighbor.
Although he never married,
Clarence loved children and was a favorite
of his many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his
parents and a brother, Robert.
