Marie Licitra, 78, of North Syracuse was dancing and smiling when she went home to be with God. She was born in Virginia and was employed as a telephone operator for many years. She loved her friends and loved to dance. Her husband of over 40 years, John Louis Licitra, predeceased her on April 26, 1999. She was also predeceased by her son, Charles Louis Licitra on February 3, 1993. Surviving are her children, Patricia Lee (Philip) Knudsen of Massachusetts and John Thomas Licitra of Webster; grandchildren, Daniel Philip (Kara) Knudsen of California, Calli Marie (James) Kwon of Rhode Island and John Henry Licitra of Webster; and a niece, Diane Murphy; among several nieces and nephews. Private graveside services and burial were in North Syracuse Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please pay it forward and help someone else, love your friends ….. And Dance!!!!
