Timothy D. Bly, 35, died Sunday in a police shootout at his Sheridan home.
Born Feb. 6, 1957 in Billings to David and Gail Bly, he grew up in Shoshone and Deaver and served seven years in the Air Force.
He married Lynn Opdahl on June 28, 1986 in Sheridan.
Mr. Bly worked as a carpenter for A&K Construction. He belonged to Vietnam Vets Motorcycle Club and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and skiing.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Scott Bly, Sheridan; two daughters, Shari and Michelle Bly, both of Sheridan; his parents of Moran; a brother, Terry Bly, Kaycee; a sister, Jodi Baghai, Kirkland, Wash.; three grandparents, including Dwain and Edna Booth of Hudson; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Services are 10 a.m. Thursday at Ferries Funeral Home, the Rev. Gerald Kind officiating.
Memorials may benefit Timothy Bly Children Education Fund in care of Delphine Toner, First Interstate Bank of Commerce.
