Toye Moore Cossey, 91, of Hot Springs, peacefully departed this life on Monday, December 30, 2013 in a local healthcare facility. Born on January 7, 1922 near Bismark, she was preceded in death by her husband, George O. "Othel" Cossey, Sr., whom she married on November 25, 1939, and by her parents, Grover C. and Gertie Hubbard Moore; by sisters Vada Sue "Sis" Smith, Imogene Bell, and Irene Miller; by brothers, Duffie G. C. Moore, and Jackie "Jack" Moore; and by a son, Billy Don Cossey.

Mrs. Cossey is survived by her sons, George O. Cossey, Jr. (Marty) of Conway; James E. "Eddie" Cossey (Myrlene), of Cleveland, Tennessee; seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren, one great, great grandchild, and a host of special nieces, nephews, and friends. She truly never met a stranger, and made everyone feel like they were special to her.

She was an accomplished writer, published poet, an Independent distributor for Stanley Home Products, and a Christian minister. She was first credentialed by the Assemblies of God in the early 1940s, and then in later years by the Church of God, Cleveland, Tennessee. She conducted revivals and evangelistic campaigns as far away as California and Utah, and also pastored three churches. She was a member of River of Life Church of God in Hot Springs.

Homegoing Celebrations were held at the Gross Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, January 3, 2014, Dr. James E. Cossey, Pastor Ben Wiles, and Reverend Billy Blackmon officiated, Bishop Les Higgins celebrated her and prayed a beautiful prayer. Pastor Ben and River of Life Singers Celebrated her in song. Interment followed in the Hickory Grove Cemetery, Bismark, Arkansas. Dr. James E. Cossey, Pastor Ben Wiles did the graveside committal.

Services were under Gross Funeral Home, 120 Wrights Street, in Hot Springs.
