Edward G. Large, 82, of the Morristown area, died Wednesday morning ay 1:15 a.m. at Ohio Valley Medical Center in Wheeling. Born August 7, 1894, at Blountville, Tenn., he was a son of the late William and Polly Barger Large. He was a retired owner and operator of Large's General Store in Morristown and a former employee of Belmont Casket Co. in Shadyside. He was a member of Cross Methodist Church in Blountville; a veteran of World War I and a member of WWI Barracks 3221. His wife Louise Butler Large died in 1967. Surviving are one son, Edward Large of Morristown, and two grandchildren, James and Beth Ann; three sisters, Mrs. Floyd Ogden and Mrs. Belle Carmack, both of Kingsport, Tenn., and Mrs. Zella McClain of Briston [sic], Tenn. Friends will be received at the Kelly-Kemp Funeral Home in Morristown on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9. The funeral will be held there Friday al 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, Morristown.
