Mrs. Hughes was born in McCreary County Ky,on June 2, 1932, the daughter of William Calvin & Rose Gibson Stephens.Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Clarence Hughes who died on May 12, 1989. Also preceeding her in death are all her brothers, Oscar ,Walter,
Paul, & Curtis Stephens and Buster Perry. and four sisters, Ruth Kirby, Audrey Stephens, Savannah Gregory, and Evelene Jackson.
Thelma leaves behind a son Ray Hughes and his wife Brenda of Pine Knot ,Ky.two sisters Margie Daugherty,and Betty Goddin both of Pine Knot,Ky, four grandchildren Clarence, Brian, Oscar, and Jeffery Hughes.And a granddaughter Tara Hughes
She was a homemaker, devoted wife, loving mother and a wonderful friend and neighbor of many who loved her, and will miss her.
