Mary Carlene Aitken (1934 - 2013), of Alamogordo, died peacefully on Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013. She was born to the late James "Rags" and Ruby Ragsdale on Oct. 4, 1934, in Kilgore, Texas.

Although Mary worked as a cashier for more than 30 years, her true calling was to be a mother. She was a loving and devoted mother of five children: Melissa Harris, of Houston, Texas; Melinda Young, of Houston; Angela Weber, of Woodinvile, Wash.; Sam Fambrough, of Alamogordo; and Carol Fambrough, of Alamogordo. She had six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her two brothers Gene Ragsdale, of Houston and Carl Ragsdale, of Marble Falls, Texas.

Mary moved to the Seattle area in 1989 and lived there until 2011. During those years she became an avid baseball fan of the Seattle Mariners. She seldom missed a game and was able to quote statistics of most players.

The Family is planning a private memorial in celebration of her life.
