Faye Agnes (Lord) Adney, age 87 years, 6 months, passed away Saturday Feb. 13, 2010 in Springfield, Mo. She was born August 13, 1922 in Lead Hill, Ark. the daughter of Ed and Annie Lord. Faye retired from Cox Medical Center after 17 years of faithful service. She carried the Lord Jesus Christ in her heart till her death and lived the life of a Christian. All those that knew her knew she was true to her faith, vows and family. She enjoyed sewing quilts and hand towels, spending time with her family and the company of her friends. She will be greatly missed by all that loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ernest Everett Adney in 1973, nine brothers and sisters. Faye is survived by 1 brother, Neal Lord of Kissee Mills; seven children, Johnathon Adney, John Adney, Eunice Harris, Noah Adney, Mary Marsh, Bonnie Kaneaster and Daniel Adney; eighteen grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be held Monday February 15, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. in the Walnut Lawn Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Cedar Gap Cemetery near Seymour, Mo.
