OBITUARY

Josephine Davis Scott Pitt, age 73, of Lumberton passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at Southeastern Health in Lumberton. She was born in Bladen County, NC on April 18, 1940 to the late Rowland Davis and the late Lena Mae Pait Davis. She previously worked as a supervisor for Robeson Security.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Herbert R. Scott, Jr.; a brother, James Rowland Davis; and two sisters, Shelby Donovan and Doris Carter.

Mrs. Pitt is survived by her husband, Augustus J. Pitt of the home; a son, Michael H. Scott and wife Victoria of Morrisville; daughters, Pamela Scott Skipper and husband, Kimald of Lumberton and Brenda Scott Parker and husband Wayne of Little River, SC; a brother, John Earl Davis of Bladenboro; sisters, Mary Lou Thompson of Clarkton, Janis Davis of Evergreen, and Wanda Dowless and Debra Jackson both of Bladenboro; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
