He was retired from Republic Steel and a steadfast member of First Brethren Church of Louisville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Alice (Kemp) Wehr; grandson, Gary Wehr; and sister Octavia (Kemp) Eisenbraun.
His memory will be cherished by his wife of 65 years, Carrie (Paden) Kemp; his daughters and sons-in law, William "Bill" and June Millard,and Rolland and Sally Stephen, and son and daughter- in law, Robert "Bob" and Joan Kemp; his sisters, Mary Louise McEndree and Ellen Tolbert; brother, Harry Kemp; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
Services were held at the Stier-Israel Funeral Home, Louisville, with Pastor Jim Koontz of First Brethren Church officiating.
