Richard's lifetime took him down many paths through Arizona, California, Alaska and Hawaii. He was a hard-rock miner in the copper mines of Bizbee, Arizona, and Kellogg, Idaho for eight years. He mined in the underground fuel storage tanks prior and during the Pearl Harbor bombing.
After returning home, he farmed in Double Adobe, Arizona and tried his hand at construction and was a builder and general contractor for many years. He was also a land developer.
Richard belonged to the Eagles Lodge in Kennewick and The Grange in Burbank. He favored contentment in his home along the Snake River, enjoying his garden many trees, flowers, animals, and children. He spent many happy hours fishing, hunting and camping.
Richard will always be remembered as a devoted and loving husband to his wife, Jane who shared his life for 61 years; and as a loving and caring father by his daughters, Barbara of Kennewick, WA, Edna of Burbank Heights, and sons Richard E. of Sacramento, Ca, and William B. White, of Burbank Heights, WA.
The joy and concern of his life were his 15 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by one sister, Alice, and long time friends Otis and Louise, all of Kennewick, WA.
