George Amos Wall, one of this area's older residents, died at the home of a daughter near Iberia last Wednesday, March 28, 1956, just 18 days after observing his 91st birthday.

Final rites were held at the Hedges Chapel in Iberia on Saturday with the Rev. Donald Tyler officiating.

Interment was in the Madden Cemetery.

Mr. Wall, son of Anderson and Mary Wall, was born at Hawkeye, March 10, 1865. He was married November 19, 1885 to Sarah Elizabeth Boren, who passed away Feb. 8, 1953. To this union five children were born. One son, Oscar, passed away in infancy.

When a young man, he united with the Methodist Church where he retained membership at the time of his death. He is survived by two sons, Fred of Iberia, and Arthur of Lamar; two daughters, Ellen Haus and Grace Bond of Iberia; one sister, Mrs. Minnie Willard, of Richland; a brother,
Louis of Sand Springs, Okla; seven grandchildren and 12
great-grandchildren.
