Funeral services for Mr. John E. Bibb, 76, of Louisiana, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, August 5th at the Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana, Missouri. The Rev. Jeanne Webdell will officiate. Burial will be at the Riverview Cemetery in Louisiana, Missouri. Visitation will be held from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. Saturday, August 4th at the funeral home. Mr. Bibb died Thursday, August 2, 2007 at the Lincoln County Nursing and Rehab Center in Troy, Missouri.

He was born September 8, 1930 in Clarksville, Missouri to John and Myrtle Hall Bibb. He married Patricia Ann Campbell on July 3, 1955 in Louisiana, Missouri and she survives.

Other survivors include one son, John Robert Bibb and wife, Mary and children, Taylor, Joseph, and Jamie of O'Fallon, Missouri, one daughter, Beverly Ann Bibb Goetsch and children, Elizabeth, Sarah, John Paul, and Rachel of St. Petersburg, Florida.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, James R. Goetsch, III who died July 19, 1999.

Mr. Bibb had been employed at Hercules Chemical Company in Louisiana, Missouri until his retirement in 1992. He was a veteran serving with the 1st Division of the US Marines in the Korean War. He was a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church in Louisiana, Missouri. He was a member of American Legion Post 349 in Clarksville, Missouri, a lifetime member of the V.F.W., a member of the Louisiana Historical Society, and member of the Friends of the Shortline Railroad. He enjoyed working on antique fire trucks and antique tractors.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Robin Brown, Dude Branstetter, Russell Ransdell, Dave Hager, Lawrence Poyser, Edward Johnson, Benjamin Griffith, Lewis Kent, George Pease, Paul Wheeler, Bob King, John Lewellen, Curt Mitchell, Richard Mullen,and Paul Hamilton. Active Pallbearers will be Trent Meyers, Charles P. Turnbaugh, James Goetsch II, John Paul Goetsch, Nathan Green, and Charles Robert Campbell.
