Don Edward Abadie Sr.
April 29, 1945 - January 25, 2013
He was a resident of Greensburg, La, and a native of Baton Rouge. He passed away Friday, January 25, 2013 at his residence.
He retired from EBR Clerk of Courts, was on the Board of Directors for Central Fire Department, owned Approved Glass, and was employed at Capital Rubber after retirement.
He is survived by his companion, two sons and their wives, and four grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Francis and Elaine McGehee Abadie, and a brother, James F. Abadie.
Visitation will be on Sunday, January 27, 2013 at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Monday, January 28, 2013 from 8 a.m. until service time at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
He loved fishing in Grand Isle and spending time with his grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center.
