Alfred W. Kehe, 87, of Valparaiso, passed away Thursday, December 12, 2013. He was born June 13, 1926 in Palatine, IL to William & Bertha (Leseberg) Kehe, graduated from Luther High School in Chicago and received a B.A. in Chemistry from Valparaiso University. Alfred went on to serve as a Research Chemist with White Cap division of Continental Can Company for 30 years retiring in 1989 having acquired 15 patents with his name. He served with the U.S. Army at the conclusion of WW II and was a member of Faith Memorial Lutheran Church.
On May 5, 1951 he married Dolores Schalk who survives along with their sons: Kenneth (Dorothy) Kehe of Valparaiso, Bruce (Barbara) Kehe of Westville, grandchildren: Tamara Radford, Kristopher Kehe, Jonathan Kehe, Sarah (Ritchie) Caudill & Brian Kehe and one great granddaughter, Hannah Radford. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Gertrude Kehe.
