Son of Andrew and Mary Trude Green
Husband of the late Lottie Louise Green - married May 10, 1945- d. December 30, 1998
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; daughter Tammy Neumiller-Neubauer; four sisters and two brothers.
Larry was a decorated veteran. Joined the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1938. While working in the corps, he followed his older brothers to Nevada and built dams. He later worked at the Savanna Army Depot for one year before enlisting in the Army. During his enlistment he began as a cook for the nurses in Indiana and ended up as a rifleman in the 106th Infantry. During a fierce battle, the Germans were able to penetrate and wedged themselves in the division front Line. Larry was captured and became a POW for the next five months. The prisoners wer liberated in 21945 and shortly thereafter was flown back to the states. He was decorated with several medale, including the Purple Heart, Bronze Star and two Silver Stars.
