Paul "Tommy" Howard Breesawitz, was born to Louis and Hazel Breesawitz.

He served his country during the Korean War as a PFC in the U.S. Marines. He was a member of the VFW Post 3404 and the Knights of Columbus. He spent his working days as a Master Custodian that he acquired from Hickman Mills College. He worked at Drury College for a short time, five years at Pleasant Hope Grade School, and retired from SMS after 10 years of service.

Paul enjoyed fishing, wood carving, gardening, and playing bingo. He was an avid CB'er. He was a member of St. Joseph Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; two brothers, Louis and Bill; and a grandson, Jason. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Ambie, of the home; his brother, Richard of Lee's Summit; two sons, Paul of the home, and John and his wife, Joyce, of Pleasant Hope; three daughters, Alyce and husband, Jim Edwards, of Pleasant Hope, Teresa and husband, Lonnie Jones, of Willard, and Mary and husband, Martin Allen, of Napa, Calif.; eight grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral Mass was held at 9 a.m. Tuesday, May 24, 2005, in St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Denis Dougherty, OSB celebrant, under the direction of Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to The Kitchen or the National Diabetes Association.
