Megan, 17 yrs old was holding her baby when she was fatally stabbed by her ex-boyfriend while standing in front of the Por Vida Academy Charter High School, in the 1100 block of Mission Road. A nearby person tried to help Hernandez fight off her attacker.
Megan Marie Hernandez, born on January 29, 1996 went to be with the Lord on December 3, 2013 at the age of 17. She is preceded in death by brother, Leo Hernandez Jr. and grandmother, Maria Hernandez. She is survived by her baby daughter, Aliya Rae Reyes; parents, numerous extended family and friends.
Megan was a wonderful daughter and mom...best sister and friend. She was kindhearted and loved unconditionally. Megan had a good of humor and left an impression on everyone she met. she established goals in her life and worked toward succeeding in them with a positive attitude. She will be dearly missed by everyone whose heart she touched.
