YORK -- Mr. Albert Wayne Murray Sr., 61, of 13 Wainwright St. died Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2005, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill. A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Rose Hill Cemetery, with the Rev. Marshall Nichols officiating. A native of York, Mr. Murray was a son of the late Henry David Murray and Ellen Irene Doster Murray. He was an automotive mechanic and a member of the South Carolina National Guard. Surviving are his son, Albert Wayne Murray Jr. of Leslie; two daughters, Barbara Funderburk of Red River and Teresa Williams of Leslie; his brother, Wylie Murray of York; six sisters, Gaynel Parton, Faye Stewart, Annette Childers and Bonnie Carson, all of York, Betty Lee Comer of Union and Diane Jackson of Ayden, N.C.; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the home of his sister, Bonnie Carson, 769 Carson Road, York. Bratton Funeral Home is in charge.
