Pioneer Citizen Dies After Long Illness Wednesday
Taylor Alexander LeSueur, 81, died Wednesday in the Jones Nursing Home at Henryetta.
Mr. LeSueur was an early day settler of this part of the county and served for several terms as County Commissioner in the Morris District. He was at all times very active in the welfare of the Democratic party. For the past 12 or 14 years he had been in poor health but the past two years he was at most times unable to be out much.
He was born in Missouri and came from Jefferson City, Mo., to the Morris area, Indian Territory in 1894 and has been a resident of Okmulgee County since then.
Survivors include two sons, Woodson M. LeSueur, Tulsa, and Stephen M. LeSueur, Henryetta; sister, Mrs. Bess White, Morris.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday in the Buchanan Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. R. T. Eichenour officiating. Interment will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Morris.
Pallbearers will be: C. W. Jeffress, Thos. H. Mitchell, George Adkins, Walter F. Lenox, Jack Boatman and C. H. Cummings.
