Suzanne G. "Gini", 80, passed from this life May 1, 2005. Born in Aulnay La Riviere, France on May 29, 1924 the second of six children to Gabriel and Eugenie Viron. Suzanne grew up in this lovely French village until the outbreak of World War II, when she left school and became a volunteer in the Red Cross. This is when she met a brave American soldier who would become the love of her life. They were married in her hometown and she became Mrs. David Cantrell. The couple moved to Oklahoma where they lived happily together until David was tragically taken from her in 1982. 'Gini', the nickname given to her by her husband, remained in Midwest City the rest of her life. She left a remarkable impression on friends, neighbors, and anyone who worked at a business within walking distance of her home. She is preceeded in death by her husband, parents and 1 brother, Georges. She is survived by siblings: Rene', Marcel, Simone, and Yvette; many nieces and nephews, of which is her belived nephew Alain Viron, who along with Gerard and Lillian, came from France to visit Gini in the closing weeks of her life to bring her great joy; and her 'adopted' daughter Karen Madden, whose friendship, care, love, and devotion, especially in the final year of her life, has bonded them forever.
