Rick died in a motorcycle accident after failing to negotiate a curve on Hwy 39, 1 mile north of Greenfield, Missouri. Rick was a graduate of Greenfield High School, class of '73.

GREENFIELD-- A 20 year old Dade County man was killed Friday night when his motorcycle went out of control and struck a telephone pole beside US HWY 39 two miles north of here, the highway patrol reported.

Dead on arrival at Cox Medical Center in Springfield at 9:30 p.m. Friday was Richard Lee (Rick) Bishop, Route 1, Everton. The patrol said Bishop lost control after running onto the shoulder while rounding a curve.

Bishop, a 1973 graduate of Greenfield High School, was a member of Greenfield First Baptist Church. Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Bishop, a sister, Victoria, and a brother, Mike, all of the home; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Bishop, Greenfield; maternal grandmother, Mrs. Murlie Morrow, Greenfield; and paternal great grandmother, Mrs. Vida Jones, Greenfield.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Monday in the Greenfield High School auditorium with the Revs. Bob Martens and Jay Foster officiating. Burial will be in Greenfield Cemetery under direction of Canada of Greenfield.

NOTE: Pallbearers were Mike Brown, Brad Taylor, Greg Taylor, Melvin Charles, Phillip Wallen, Winton Adams and Neil Spain.
