Bruce Stewart was born in Banning, California on December 7, 1955 to William Glenn Stewart and Patricia Mae Stewart. Bill and Pat were divorced in 1960, when Bruce was five.

He grew up as the second son of six boys. At the time of his death, he was survived by brothers Steve, Daniel and Bill Stewart and John and Robert Kehne (who were born after Patricia married Robert Kehne).

His father William died in 2011 and his brother Bill died in 2015.

In the first five years of his life, the family moved often, living in Las Vegas, Nevada, San Gabriel and El Monte, California and finally settling in 1960, in La Puente/Valinda, California.

An outgoing and naturally gifted athlete, Bruce excelled in sports. He played Little League Baseball throughout elementary, middle and high school.

Bruce was born with a heart abnormality, which contributed to his untimely death, at the age of 21.

His life was short, but he made a positive and lasting impression on all who knew him. He will always be loved and never forgotten.
