Funeral service was held for Mrs. Ingval (Ida) Aarestad, 83, in the Zion Lutheran Church, Cooperstown, Tuesday, January 18, 1977. Interment was in the church cemetery. She died Thursday, January 13 at the Northwood Nursing Home.
Rev. Elwin Walvatne and Rev. J. D. Risk officiated at the service.
Ida Berg was born September 29, 1893 near Hannaford, ND, daughter of the late Carl and Marie Berg. She was married to Ingval Aarestad November 9, 1914 at Moorhead, Minn. They lived in the Binford-Cooperstown area and Everett, Washington. After her husband’s death in 1954, she moved to Northwood.
She leaves four daughters, Mrs. Orville (Marian) Bakken, Mrs. Olaf (Eileen) Jorde, both of Northwood; Mrs. Alvin (Evelyn) Miller, Binford; Mrs. Howard (Carol) Stromme, Brainerd, Minn.; one sister, Mrs. Josephine Johnson, Spokane, Wa.; ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter, four sisters and four brothers.

Lydia Carol Ione Aarestad, b. Nov. 18, 1924 in Minneapolis, Minnesota; married Howard Clifford Stromme, April 24, 1946; b. March 1, 1924 in Binford, North Dakota.
