She was born in Marion May 1, 1908,where she resided until coming to Mansfield seven years ago. She was united in marriage with Laverne Gutekunst in November 1929.
Besides her husband she is survived by a daughter, Peggy Leeann Black, of a former marriage; seven sisters, Mrs. Hattie Cavinee of Marion, Mrs. Zella Thompson of Cleveland,Mrs. Mable Soulier of Marion, Mrs.Nancy Dorfe of Marion, Mrs. Bertha Yeager of Marion, Mrs. Marion Faist of Cleveland, Mrs. Marguerite Slick of East Palestine; and two brothers, Albert Brooks of Celina Kansas, and Phillip Brooks of Marion.
