Luticia and George Washington Stanley had a son by the name of George Arthur in 1885. Due to his mother's death before he was a year old, he was allowed to be adopted by a neighbor named Swearingin. He died in 1972 and is buried in the McKee Cemetery in Cherokee County, Kansas.
