Ruby Williams Hunter Jones, 80, of 1201 Long Meadows Drive, Apt. J-13, died Sunday, Dec. 8, 1985 in Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the widow of Aubrey B. Jones. Born in Campbell County, she was the daughter of the late Charles Edward Williams and Estelle Thompson Williams. She was a retired bookkeeper for the Arlington newspaper and a member of College Hill Baptist Church, Woman's Missionary Union and Friendly Bible Class. She was preceded in death by two son, David L. Hunter of Roanoke and Theodore A. (Ted) Hunter, Jr., of Raleigh, N.C. She is survived by on daughter, Virginia Hunter Salisbury of Lynchburg; two sons, Fredrick G. Hunter of Alexandria and Arthur H. Hunter of Front Royal; two brothers, Royal E. Williams and C. Hubbard Williams and three sisters, Mrs. Catherine Tweedy, Mrs. Willie Taylor and Mrs. Annie Reid, all of Lynchburg; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. in College Hill Baptist Church by the Rev. Wayne Varner. Interment will be in Fort Hill Memorial Park.
