Obituary from the Edwardsville Intelligencer, Edwardsville, Madison County, Illinois, Tuesday, October 27, 1953, page 7:
  Troy, IL--Aloysius John Sendelbach, 66, died suddenly Saturday, Oct. 10, at 10:30 p.m. in St. Louis.
  He was born in Newport, Ky., on Jan. 16, 1887, and moved to St. Louis 45 years ago. On Aug. 10, 1940 he was married to Miss Edna Schultze of Troy.
  He served on the St. Louis police force for a number of years, was a member of the Police Veteran's Association, Santiago-Argonne Post No. 1102 VFW and a World War I veteran.
  Funeral services were held Wednesday morning, Oct. 14, at 9:30 a.m. with Rev. Selaska officiating. Interment was made in Friedens cemetery in Troy.

Aloysius John Sendlebach was married three times:
first to Theresa Sentiff on July 19, 1911 in Newport, KY; They divorced in 1913 & she went back to using her maiden name.
He then married the divorced Lillian White on Oct. 25, 1919 in Newport, KY. He was married to her until her death in 1940.
Thirdly he married Edna Schultze on Aug. 10, 1940. He had no children.
