She was born on December 31, 1931 in Princeton, a daughter of the late Jake and Ida (Kwiatkowski) Soda. Loretta married Leon "Bud" Seman on April 21, 1956 in Princeton. Leon preceded her in death on January 9, 2002.
Loretta had many interests including bowling, playing cards, embroidery, baseball and the Milwaukee Brewers, flowers and houseplants, politics, polka dancing, and especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a life long member of St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Princeton.
Loretta is survived by her four children, Charles Seman of Plainsboro, NJ, Lorene (Leonard) Seman-Filut of Madison, Michael (Donna) Seman of Dodgeville, Sandra (David) Moderow of Waunakee; 8 grandchildren, Amarette and Samuel Filut; Benjamin, Jacob and Melissa Seman; Erin, Cory and Kali Moderow; 3 sisters, Virginia Rozek of Princeton, Beatrice Mashuda of Mars, Pennsylvania, Isabel Golz of Princeton; brother, Robert (Nancy) Soda of Princeton; sister-in-law, Leone (Eugene) Jackowski of Markesan; other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Daniel Moderow and sister, Phyllis Bornick.
Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday, August 25, from 5:00-8:00 pm, with a Rosary Service at 7:00, at the Wachholz and Sons Funeral Home, 303 Harvard St., in Princeton. A Mass of Christian Burial for Loretta Seman will take place on Wednesday, August 26, at 11:00 am, with visitation one hour prior to the service, at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church, 1211 W. Main St, in Princeton with Father Dale Grubba officiating. Burial will follow the service at St. John's Catholic Cemetery in Princeton.
