Ysidro "Sonny" Astorga, Jr. passed away on Friday, March 14, 2008 in Houston, Texas. He was born February 16, 1939 in Sugar Land, Texas to Ysidro Astorga, Sr. and Bruna Astorga. "Sonny" is survived by his devoted wife of 50 years Olivia Astorga; children, Deborah Aquino, Monica Astorga, Dulcinea Piazza, Sunny Astorga and Pablo Astorga; eight grandchildren; one great grandson; one brother and seven sisters and a host of relatives and friends. Mr. Astorga believed strongly in education. He served the students and families of the Fort Bend Independent School District for over 30 years, first as a teacher and later as an assistant principal. He was a graduate of the University of Houston earning a Bachelor's Degree in 1965 and a Master's Degree in 1978.
