Candace "Candy" (Fletcher) Ferguson, 40, of Lafayette, passed away at home at 9:23 p.m. on Monday, November 11, 2013, surrounded by her family and friends. Born November 3, 1973 in Danville, IL, she was the daughter of Ralph and Saundra (Mason) Fletcher of Veedersburg, IN. She graduated from Fountain Central High School in 1992 and from modeling school in Chicago. She played basketball and ran track in high school.
Candy married Wendell C. Ferguson on April 24, 2006 in Hawaii and he survives. She was currently employed at Steel Grip in Kingman, IN, where she had worked in the plant for 20 years. She enjoyed reading and keeping fit and was a big Colts fan.
Surviving with her husband and parents are her two children, Jamal Collins and Jaelyn Sophia Ferguson both at home; two step-children, Jordan Michael Ferguson and Avisha Jewel Stinebaugh both of Lafayette; her brother, Brian W. Fletcher (wife, Kim) of Waynetown, IN, her husband's mother, Dorothy Ferguson of Lafayette and very close friends, Alan and Mel Jones and their family. She was preceded in death by a brother, Matthew Wayne Fletcher.
