Appalachia, VA. Bobbie Jean Parsons 52 passed away at Holston Valley Medical Center, Kingsport, TN.
She was of the Baptist Faith. She was a life long resident of the area. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Amber Parsons, her parents Charles and Annie Bell Grimes, Sr., brothers, Jack Grimes, Billy Ray Grimes, Bobby Grimes, Johnny Grimes, Charles Grimes, Jr. and a sister, Peggy Craft and brother, Stephen Grimes.
Bobbie Jean is survived by her husband, Steve Parsons of Appalachia, VA., son, Steve Lee Parsons of Big Stone Gap and daughter, Brandy Lynn Parsons of Appalachia, Va., her brothers: Frank Grimes of Kingsport, Tn., Ricky Grimes of Appalachia, VA. and Randy Grimes of Dayton, Ohio., her sisters: Betty Robinson, Patsy Woodward and Nancy Woodward all of Big Stone Gap, Va. and Doris Calton of Kingsport, Tn. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Steve B.J. Parsons, Gabriel Seth Blair and Alissa Johnson, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
The funeral services will be Saturday (Nov.9, 2013) at 1 P.M. in the chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Randy Grimes and Pastor Joshua Grimes officiating.
Graveside services will follow in American Legion Cemetery, Big Stone Gap, Va. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
