Mrs. Emma (Williams) Kerkhove, 93, died Tuesday, May 17, 1960, in her rural Lafayette home, following a 15-month illness. Born at Woosburg, Holland, she had lived in this community the last 60 years. Her marriage was to Peter Kerkhove, who died in 1941. Mrs. Kerkhove was a member of St. Mary Cathedral.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. John Hege, Miss Carrie Kerkhove, Mrs. John Boveri, and Mrs. Richard Young, all of Lafayette; two sons, John Kerkhove of Lafayette and Dr. Bernard C. Kerkhove of Camden; three half-sisters, Mrs. Al Vanwhage of Kalamazoo, MI, Mrs. Louise Cauwells of New York City, and Mrs. Emily Lisburg of Fargo, ND; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
