FARR VEST - Ramona B.[rown] Best Humpherys, 41,
died Wednesday, January 2, 1991, at St.
Benedict's Hospital, after a valiant battle with
cancer.
She was born October 2, 1949, in Ogden, a daughter
of Richard Strong Best and Yvonne Brown Best.
On June 9, 1971, she married Carl Lindquist Humpherys in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
She was reared in Farr West where she attended Weber County Schools and graduated from Weber High School. She graduated from Weber State College, with her B.A. degree in
elementary education, with a special certificate in remedial reading.
She lived in Farr West, Ogden, Saint George, Cedar City, Utah, and Arvada, Colo. She had resided in South Weber for the past 10 years.
She was an active member in the Church of
Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was a member of the South Weber 5th Ward. She worked in many ward positions in the church, having served in the Primary, the Sunday
School, in Relief Society, and in Young Woman's
MIA. She also had enjoyed singing in the ward choir and in doing temple work.
Ramona was a wonderful homemaker and mother and had also taught school for a short time at So. Weber Elementary in the fifth grade.
While attending college, she also worked in the
Photography Department at Weber State for several years as a Secretary. Ramona was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed all crafts, especially making Barbie doll clothes. She had
entered her works in Mormon Handicraft and many other boutiques.

She is survived by her husband Carl of South Weber; three daughters, Lisa Marie Humpherys, Michelle Sharie Humpherys,
Heather Ann Humpherys and two sons, Clint Grant Humpherys and Michael Carl Humpherys, all of South Weber.
Also surviving are her mother of Farr West;
two brothers and their wives: Richard B. and Sharon Best, Uintah Highlands; Louis B. and Kathleen Best, Ames. Iowa; three sisters and their husbands: Betty B. and Ruel A. Allred, Provo; LaRee B. and Clair E. West, Ogden;
Annette B. and Thomas R. Van Dyke, Farr West;
10 nephews and 19 nieces.
She was preceded in death by her father and a nephew.
The family would like to thank all of the friends and ward members who so unselfishly gave service to Ramona and to the family.
Ramona was dearly loved and will be missed by her husband and children and all of their family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., with Bishop's Counselor David Lucas of the South Weber 5th Ward officiating.
Friends may call at the mortuary Sunday from
6 to 8 p.m. and Monday noon to 12:45. Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.
