MARKSVILLE - Services for Joseph Fairbairn Belt were held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 7, 2002 at Hixson Bros., Funeral Home Chapel in Marksville with Rev. Gary Jones officiating. Burial was in the Church of the Little Flower Cemetery in Evergreen under the direction of Hixson Brothers of Marksville.
Mr. Belt, age 21, died Tuesday November 5, 2002 at 7:14 a.m. He was a native and resident of Marksville.
Survivors include his mother, Mary F. Belt of Marksville; his father, Charles Belt of Marksville; one brother, Charles Belt Jr of Lafayette, three sisters, Antoinette Edwards of Evergreen, Gary Bernard of Cottonport and Charlotte Belt of Marksville; and his maternal grandmother, Antoine Ferguson of Bunkie.
Pallbearers were Tony Bernard, Hal Edwards, Brandon Guilbeau, Charles Belt Jr and Dwayne Desselle.
