Curt was a U.S. Army, Korean War veteran, serving from 1951 to 1953. He was an employed by Northern States Power company in Ashland for over 33 years. He was a member of the Ashland Knights of Columbus, the Elks Lodge, and the United Chequamegon Area Veterans.
He enjoyed going for walks, camping and traveling out west.The most fulfilling accomplishments in his life were his grandchildren who he relished spending time with and loved very much.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, three daughters,one son, nine granchildren; two brothers; three sisters-in-law; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Whalen and Joseph Lester Thompson; one special daughter, Mary Ann; and one grandson, Eric Joseph Thompson.
