Hardy Lee Goss, 70, of Roanoke died Sunday, Feb. 21, 1999, at Randolph County Hospital, Roanoke.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, Feb. 24, at 2 p.m. EST at Mount Carrie Baptist Church, Franklin, Georgia, with the Rev. Harold Winters and the Rev. Lonnie B. Houston officiating.

Burial was in State Line Baptist Church Cemetery, Franklin.

Survivors include his wife, Christine Goss of Roanoke; three sons, Willie Frank Goss of Dadeville and Johnny Mack Goss and Rogers Goss of Roanoke; two daughters, Phyllistine Hunter and Lisa Goss of Roanoke; a sister, Willie Mae Bradshaw of Standing Rock; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was precededin death by his parents, Chester and Gertrude Goss; two sons, Arthur Lee Goss and Horace Goss; and a daughter, Annie Ruth Goss.

Mr. Goss will be well remembered as an enthusiastic gospel quartet singer, having devoted several years traveling with popular local gospel groups including The Five Trumpets, Golden Faith and Spiritual Sons.

The body will be placed in the church one hour before the funeral services.
